Hey everyone, new member here just introducing myself. I'm not new to your website, I'm just a lazy person who hates to register for things :) . Anywho, I have a couple of questions. First of all, has anyone ever attempted a manual transmission conversion in a GN? Would it be a bad idea? It may be a stupid question, if it is I apologize. Also, I don't see many GNs with aftermarket wheels. I would think the big black car would look GREAT with some nice big chrome wheels. I don't think it would look too ricey, in fact I think it would look very brutal in an american way. I also don't think the weight would hinder you too much. Just my opinion. Thanks guys.

my car has aftermarket wheels on it, look in my sig.....

as for the manual tranny, baaaaaaaaad idea... you will creat more work and more headaches for your self. i asked this very same question a while ago... and in short the way the motor is built with a manual tranny you would pretty much never be in the cars power band unless you had a small turbo... and these motors make more torque than most manual trannys can handle...

if you want to read the thread i started about a year you can check it here...

5-Speed Manual in a TR?

hope that helps

Welcome to the forum!

I think Neil got your ranny question answered there.

As far as wheels go, I've seen quite a few GN's with larger aftermarket wheels.

My good friend Tarey has a set of Simmon's 17"ers on his car. It's look fricking tight! (Although is needs air dams Tarey ;) )

I stuck with a 15" wheel myself so I could get more meat under the car. That and I'm too fricking poor to by wheels!

Anyways, welcome to the board!
