hey guys i'm new to the turbo 6 scene but a long time gearhead. I just picked up a 87 grandnational that was all stock. So far I have done Razor alky kit, dutweiler strech intercooler, RJC power plate, custom 3 in cold air intake, Walbro 225 pump, accufab regulator, 160 degree thermostat, turbo tweak chip, flowmaster exhaust, progressive rate rear springs and of course after reading these forums I found a good ol scanmaster on ebay!
My goal is a streetable fun car that can pull low 12's maybe a high 11 and be put back to stock if need be(not hugely important). I'm looking for next steps? 3 bar map? 60lb injectors? valve springs?
Suggestions?
Thanks

If your running that alky kit and its working, I'm guessing you already have a 3bar map sensor.
Next step..removing flowmaster exhaust haha. Seems there's always been post on here about flowmasters robbing on turbo cars.

Yea good point on the map, the alky and exhaust was in the car when I bought it. I am definitely going to the track I have a grudge match race against a mainly stock trailblazer SS. I was just looking for some mods I could do before then?

The 60's should have been purchased when you got the chip, that way you wouldn't have to buy a chip twice.

The fuel pump needs to be hotwired with a larger power wire running to it. Run a wire from the engine ground to the frame and ground the tank to the frame as well.

Then get the car running right before you start that 'grudge racing' stuff. ..... or we'll be talking about 'what's the best head gaskets?' if you're lucky.

Otherwise it's 'who has a good block, crank, rods, and pistons?'

Times 2 for what Earl said. Go easy up the boost scale and watch the scanmaster for knock. Also, keep in mind that the factory upper timing gear is nylon.
It would certainly be smart to change that before thrashing too hard at the track.....
