Was wondering if anyone has used or is using NGK's Iridium Plugs,i currrently run their V power plugs & im in need of a plug change & was thinking of using the Iridium, according to NGK they last longer, are harder to foul,& transmit a better combustion mixture, but they cost $9 a piece,im making close to 500RWHP & run 16-18# on the street with my combo, thanks for input

HOWDY: Yes, I am Using the NGK UR5ix (7177) plugs in my Turbo Riviera, 21 psi boost no misfire, factory pre-gapped @ .035" I had autolite 24's in there for almost 20 months, They were modified by super sonic spark plugs in colorado with a .031 hole drilled in them, They kicked A$$ at first, but wear and tear snuck up on them, when I changed out to the new NGK Iridiums, it was like night and day, NO complaints with the New ix plugs
I got them from summit (in stock) for 7 bucks each.

The UR5ix is one heat range colder than stock

Yes I used them. They worked fine, just over 5 bucks a plug at a local auto parts store. Saying that though,I went back to accr43's cause the added expense was'nt worth it to me,for minnimal gain if any. This for a street driven car running 23+ lbs.of boost with alhky.

Any quantifiable evidence that they work better. Car faster, better gas mileage, etc? :)

Added value?

Steve, I tried to get the folks at Denso interested testing w/ the TR's. All I got was some feedback that unless the Japs were in charge of the tests, they didn't want to participate.
After that, I thot that the $7 cost vs continuing w/ the proven AC42LTS plugs, for a buck twenty nine, was the way to go.
But then those are the same folks that brought us Pearl Harbor:mad:

And then basically seem to own it 62 years later! I am a cynic as you well know. :)
