i now finally have a solid 11 second car and my track has somewhat relaxed rules. i have been 11.58@ 117 and i know things change @11.49 as far as needing a bar.i know i also need screw in valve stems and a helmet and the other normal stuff.

when do i need a jacket? are they letting me slide on the jacket or do i need it at 11.49? what else am i gonna need?

i just don't want to go several hours away to a track and be told i don't have all the equiptment i need and i don't really believe in slowing down

I tech at Raceway Park in Englistown so I'll give you a little list of things to have:

- Snell 2000 or newer helmet (2005 Preferred)
- driveshaft loop for slicks or drag radials
- Fire jacket if you upgrade the turbo which I believe you did. Any time you add a "power-adder" to your vehicle (Turbo-, Supercharger, NOS, bigger Turbo) you must wear a fire jacket. Stock turbo does not require jacket.
- water in the cooling system with overflow catch-can

Being that we are somewhat close to the Jersey Shore we often get people that want to race in tank-tops and sandals, yes even the guys.

Hope this helps.

i was going to suggest that you look up the rule book on the NHRA website, but they want you to be an NHRA member before they let you read the rulebook..
