Up for sale is a very nice looking and running 1997 Ford F-150 XLT 4x4 truck with the 8 foot box (long bed) and regular cab. This is probably one of the nicest looking 97's out there and has very little mileage (only 90,000). I am the second owner of this truck and have owned it since 57K miles. It has been used for highway trips only. I never used it for off-roading or towing. The tonneau cover pictured is NOT included with this truck! I took it off a while back and sold it. The tires pictured also do NOT come with the truck! These were special off-road tires that I put on for show only. I recently put the stock tires and wheels back on it (same wheels pictured). This is a fully loaded truck with power windows, locks, side mirrors, delay wipers, fog lamps, electronic 4x4, tow package, rear sliding window, cold A/C, hot heat, newer Pioneer CD player with AM/FM, column shifter, grey interior in nice condition, 4.6L V8, and 4-speed automatic transmission.
List of items that have been replaced in the past year include: battery, battery cables going to starter and fuse box, starter solenoid, starter, spark plugs and wires, both exhaust manifolds, ignition coil, multifunction switch, front brakes including rotors, hubs, calipers, brake lines, pads, stainless steel lugnuts, all 4 shocks, and driver side o2 sensor.
There are a couple of things that need to be fixed. The rear back window leaks water when it rains hard (common problem with this generation F-150). Should only cost around $200 to have a glass shop fix it. The seal is rotted and shot. Also there is a power steering line that has a slight leak and I have been periodically re-filling the power steering fluid (was going to fix when the weather broke). Everything else works flawless.
This truck has never been wrecked or had any kind of problems. Very reliable truck to drive. Asking $6,500 or REASONABLE offer. I'm not giving this truck away! I have spent thousands of dollars fixing this truck up and maintaining it over the years. Always had oil changed every 3,000 miles.
