at the risk of sounding like a serious ricer, i believe that the car paul walker was driving in the begining of the fast and the furious II was a skyline R34 (and i'd assume GT-R), not a sylivia. Please don't hate me for knowing the difference....
anyhow on the 240 note, i think that on the s14 body ('95+), the bay is too narrow. I haven't measured or anything but i just did an RB26 (skyline GT-R inline 6 TT) swap in one of these cars and it get's decently tight on the sides even for the inline block. I have my 3.8 out of my car now and i couldn't imagine it fitting. but maybe it's the twins being on the side of the RB26 that makes the 240 bay seem narrower than it is. maybe someone who has actually measured it can chime in.
suposidly the s14 rear end is the same as the rears on the rwd skylines (GT) and can go at least 9's. they are 4.10's though (without any alternative gearing) so you run into the same problem as with the FC swap. but the car is also heavier than the FC. i'd still go FC even if the engine fits.
If you really like the looks of the sylvia, i've also heard that the body pannels do bolt right up to the USDM version. The 2jz-gte also fits in that bay. and with the exhaust on the right side it's alittle easier to deal with than the RB, and stock bottom end has more than proven itself. it also has alittle more rpm than the buick so the 4.10's won't hurt as much. if you don't aready have a 3.8 and want to do a swap, you should maybe look into doing a 2jz.
