After blowing a seal I had a tranny guy install a shift kit and and retainer for the seal.
Now I never had a shift kit before so I don't know how its supposed to act but I am noticing that under WOT I will approach 70 MPH in first gear and have to let off the throttle to shift to second. I let off becaus I fear the engine blowing. (I have an aftermarket chip and don't know how high the rev limiter is)
Also the car will act like its stuck in a lower gear than it really is, ex. at 45 mph I will have to add rpm's before I get to the point that I make my car accelerate, it acts like its in neutral then accelerates.
Anything I can fix myself or should I take it back to the professional, or is it normal?
