My car lost 2nd gear, possibly the band anchor pin or a servo issue. I know the trans has to come out, but is this something that can be fixed with out a full rebuild? This would be the 4th time the trans was rebuild. The first two were done by Mike Doyle, the third by The Toy Shop (if anyone reading knows of so-cal trans builders)
The trans only has probably 15-20K miles on it and maybe a dozen or so mid-high 11sec passes. The fluid doesn't smell burnt.
I really don't want to throw 2K+ in to a trans right now, and I am getting tired of these 2004r transmissions, but I want to keep OD or else I would go to a 350/400.
