No Gnx For Gmhtp Shootout

All,

We didn't get a single GNX application for our August 2005 Englishtown shootout.

We would really love to have a GNX there, it will be a day of photos, food and drink, and as many or as few quarter-mile runs down E-town's famous drag strip as the drivers want to make.

The track will be fully prepped, we'll only be running in one lane to avoid any on-track incidents with other rare and high-dollar vehicles, and an EMT squad will be on-hand in accordance with NJ law.

We're not asking owners to abuse their cars, we're asking for good-faith quarter-mile runs.

Anyone who has a stock GNX and is interested, please contact me ASAP.

Hey, Rick, you might want to try the GSCA. They are always interested in getting good magazine coverage on these cars and could probably hook you up with a stock GNX owner willing to take the car down the 1/4. If I had a GNX I'd be all over this.

WOW! are you kidding me??? Some people are into these cars for the love of the cars and showing them for others to enjoy.. Other are in it for the money.. guess we know what side he's on go figure. What a a$$hole. No body wants to see his car anyways better off he leaves it in the garage. You should have asked him for the owners card and see who's name is on it. There are plenty of fine turbo Buick GNX owners on this board and the other boards. Post around I'm sure someone would be glad to come out. Post around!

Herbie turned 17, his acne cleared up, he put the baseball card laden bicycle away and hung up his newspaper bag. He can now legally drive on his own, no more permit and licensed driver during daylight hours for him!

Heck, he was about to propose to his girlfriend at the track last month!! Go Herbie, go!
