After building a new motor for my 85 Gn, getting everything just right, I tried to test fire it and it won't. Getting plenty of fuel (after resealing the press regulator 3 times) but does not appear to get spark. Triple checked the cam sensor with the tool Kirban sells, crank sensor is good, no fuses seem to be blown, can not find anything obvious....WHAT THE $@#^& AM I DOING WRONG????

Did you put the crank sensor on the little ring, some people miss this. Check the cam sensor cap i wil lay my money on the cap. and check exta good on the grounds.

i had the same problem i tryed evry thing , it ran before i took the motor out. Come to find out it was the cam sensor, it was shorting the two wires out.

Make sure the crank sensor is positioned correctly, click here to check this pic and if the cam sensor is adjusted correctly, you might want to go thru the "no-start" test procedure---I just added it to my first post in the "Basic hotair info" thread at the top of the page---to make sure everything is working!

my car did the same thing. if the check engine light doesnt come on than check the wiring from the fusebox to the ecu

Consensus opinion around the shop is crank sensor related, I'll double check the positioning whe I can. Hooked up the noid light to the injector and they are not getting a reference pulse. Will keep plugging, any other opinions gladly welcome...thanks everyone!
