Removed valve body from problem trans. Slippage, doesn't seem to shift, and low pressure in D1, D2 (150psi with max TV, at idle). Trans was built by 'professional' shop not on this board, so I don't know what modifications may have been done. Trans has AAF valve body.
I found no spring in the 3-4 accumulator and the spacer plate has the hole filled where the 3rd accumulator check ball would go (red circle in attached pic). What would these modifications do?
Also, can the TV and reverse boost valves be removed from the bottom of the trans, without pulling the pump out?
Trans has many aftermarket hard parts too. I have a CZF valve body available, with stock spacer plate and governor. What would it take to start from scratch? Perhaps with one of the shift kits available from one of the vendors on this board?
I have the CK manual.
Thanks all.

additional info

forgot to mention trans is non-lockup. no electrical connections.
Thanks again.

start over with my kit it includes the plate.undo the wrongs if there are any and then have a solid foundation to support further test efforts.youve got the book now get the kit.

Not sure who's kit that is but it looks like the mod TransGo does to the 3rd accum.

It doesn't totally block 3rd accum function but with the spring gone....

I would probably just buy Chris's kit unless you really want to spend time under the car with the pan off about 3-4 times.

I've got a BRF valve body that needs a new home :)

Thanks.

Thanks very much for the replies. Chris I'll likely call or email you for more info on your shift kit, ie. included parts, required mods, cost. I already have a stock CZF valvebody, plate and governer.
Thanks again.
