Yes, I can. Do I wanna pay for the C-16 it's going to cost to get there? No.
It's only a matter of time before you gotta get it smogged in Cali

Anyway, I was asking a serious question. Thought it might be a fun race until your negotiator opened his mouth.

I always knew you had low self esteem but didn't wanna point out the obvious

lets see, yes i have a glass hood, trunk and bumpers but THATS IT.. full working cool A/C, working HEAT and it's driven on the street to car shows and events.. right i can also carry 4 people with the stereo on and t-tops out because it's a STREET CAR with a stock block V6  ..

Assuming we start with a GN that has the regular steel bumper reinforcements and not aluminum ones, all that fiberglass probably took off close to 150 pounds or so. Add to that another 25-30 lbs. for the front sway bar, figure 15-20 lbs. saved per corner (compared to stock GN rims) due to the Weld wheels and a few other misc things, and it starts to add up. In other words, 3700 lbs seems a little heavy unless that's including driver and fuel, or a TH400 is a lot heavier than I thought...? By way of contrast, my car has all its factory body panels but no t-tops, a rollbar, chrome bumpers with T-Type reinforcements, 200-4R, big front mount, A/C and so on, but weighs about 3600 with me in it including fuel. Anyway, 3700 struck me as a fairly big number given all the weight saving measures employed. FWIW, there's a place called Dycorp on Ball Road in Anaheim just past the RR tracks that has a public scale right out front by the street; a lot of truckers use it since it's so close to I-5 so the state checks it fairly frequently for accuracy.

full tank of gas with me in it (pushing 255lbs).. i also have a 6 point cage in the car so the 150lb i saved with the fiberglass it went right back in. it sucks that you have to pay to scale your car around here, nothing free around here??

Looks good! ;) That should help.

I've taken several vehicles to Dycorp to be weighed; the charge is $10 if it's just for you (they give you a receipt with the weight printed out on it) and $20 if you need a certified slip for DMV purposes.

Ooh ooh ooh.."a weigh in day!!!" LAME. Nobody ever said they weighed the same. I already agreed to give him the 7/10's in the 1/4mi, and that's being VERY generous. I'm guessing Nordy's car weighs around 3500#max,....and I'm STILL willing to give him the 7/10's. Can't you read? Maybe you are a model 'cause you're just about as smart as one. If you wanna get technical, add up the parts on both motors and see which one has more potential(cubic in, turbo size, heads, etc etc) THEN you can try and be a genius and factor in the weight  Why am I even talking to someone that currently has no car?

Actually, I think that car weigh is something that a lot of people think about at some point or another. Probably one of Kevins better ideas, and it was nice of Brent to mention somewhere locally that weighs them reasonable.
