I only race once a year and dont really understand all the brackets and when to go. I guess I just want to know if I race at Norwalk is there enough test and tune time and time trials to make the effort to race or should I just spectate and state out of everyones way. I just need to get the car dialed in a little before I try any real racing. I never raced at Norwalk and always regret it. Thanks for any advice. I cant get there till sat nite so no fri testing either.

I usually get 4-5 test runs in. I could get more, but don't feel like beating on the car that much. I pretty much just go to play with the car and see other cars. I don't go with winning the show in mind.

For bracket racing there is a V8 class and a V6 class. Time trials are usually round robin- go up as much as you want. When time trials are done, they will call the classes up over the PA. There are Norwalk Officials that tell you what lanes to go in, in the staging lanes.

Race, have fun.

With no rain delays, and if you get there when the gates open, you should have no problems getting in plenty of time trials. This year they are bringing back the bracket 1 & 2. I think bracket 1 is 0 - 11.99, and bracket 2 is 12.00 and slower, but I could be wrong. Last year they had V6 and V8 as the bracket classes. Norwalk is an awesome track, I wish it got the turn out like BG. Norwalk is one of the best hooking, nicest tracks in the country.

You should run the ths class. Its heads up and your car would fit in great. Heads up is aot more fun than bracket racing imo.

Thanks for all the help. Years ago this event had a good turnout but recent years have been slow. Still the nicest track of all the Buick events Ive been to. Im just not much of a racer , I hate to say it but it gets boring watching all the time. I always say I should have brought my car but usually dont. This year looks to be different and ths seems to fit the bill. Maybe I can make it past the first round. LOL.

Line up against me, you will make it to the second round for sure. I either break or break out.
