Currently I have a progressive alky kit on the car. The engine is all forged and girdle, I have FAST, and Im putting a TH400 in the car (4L80E) is too much of a $$ thing for awhile now). With the loss of OD, I will probably not drive the car all that much on the street so Im trying to decide if I should remove the alky kit and run race gas and a 100-125 shot instead. If I did, am I correct in ASSuming that the N2O will cool the charge air as well as the alky did, just at a higher cost? Would this be a reasonable mod to do? I will still street drive the car but at lower boost than at the track.
 
prob go with NOS if your racing all the time..then when ya go to the track just turn up the boost rather than having an alky set up and a NOS set up :confused:

yeah kinda, thats what Im wondering, if I should get rid of the alky for the NOS...
can low eonough boost on the street to not need a cooling mist, but at track run higher boost with NOS doubling as power adder and cooling mist instead of the alky

If your wanting to make more power, put on a bigger turbo. Sounds like you have enough motor. And there is no consequence running C16 and alky together.

Guess you havent run the car with alky at the track to really get hooked on it.. when you do and look at your datalogs.. you wont take it off.

I use nitrous for spooling mine. FAST to run that setup

you are right, didnt get it to the track, blew the trans before I could
I did turn it on on the highway once and could def feel it "kick in"
I was planning on runninga T72 Duall BB Q somestime around spring

Stay with what you have.. see what it does.. move from there.

Put the money in a piggy bank.. when you make power.. you break parts ;)

lol. this I noticed. Thats why I am swapping in a TH400. Was going to do a 4L80E since I already have a stock one with a bad front pump but dont feel like shelling out the $$ for the rest of the stuff when I dont need all that crap to put in the 400. :biggrin:
