NOS - New Old Stock?

I'd show a few, but they're kinda boring. Just a dry shot nozzle in the up pipe. Mounted down low, where the pipe turns up from the fm IC.

This pic was taken during the install.

The setup now uses a 60 horse single mounted in the back of the '87 intake; it would be tough to locate if I was to ever hide the solenoids.

Not the greatest pic, but this is "BOTLFED"s old GN it had 2 stages, a 6pack on the dog house, plus a nozzle in the up pipe.

Haha! The "name" for that GN was "The Mutant" That car was crazy, could handle all kinds of timing, never did get a ride in it, he had to torch the front springs because of so much weight loss, Carbon hood, fiberglass deck lid, crashbars/power window motors removed from doors, all insulation removed, no radio/speakers, fiberglass bumpers and well, above pic shows most of the rest. Mostly stock aside from all the nitrous and weight savings, IIRC it ran a mid 11 on with just the nozzle in the uppipe.

Dang... I hope that doesn't mean you stopped trying. I wouldn't want to be someone's excuse for not trying.

lots of original owners back in the "day" ran NOS.. simple no brainer kit would put a stock engine Buick into the 11s with a few tweeks.. out of the box..12.2s all day .. We used it till 1990on a few of my cars. oh it was just the simple plenum tube one.. the "6 pack" didn't work all that great on a stock car.

Your '84 GN is sweet.

The way it leaves the line surely affects the Earth's rotation. :biggrin:

It remains fun. Now in the middle of installing an SFI flywheel.

i have a nitrous kit on my car but i dont think it will help any. i have a drawthru turbo set up (beforeblack). :tongue:

how is everyone controlling there NOS setups? still using the stock ECM? bottle warmer? bottle pressure gauge etc?

Just a button control on the shifter handle ,no heater I do have have a gauge on the bottle. also no purge valve either I purge thru the motor. I only use the NOS for spooling so its used for a split second and thats all ...I like to call it insta-boost
