Not Shifting right!!!

It seems that it may be time for the dreaded tranny rebuild..... she shifts fine from 1st to 2nd..... going from 2nd to 3rd it slips till about 45-50mph then it will go in.... reverse is a no show.... I changed the fluid and filter and used the lucas tranny treatment.... there was a good amount of metal shavings on the magnet.... I did find some pieces of some sort of thin orange ring..... ok guys what is this going to set me back??? What would you do... one week of school left... no money... for another 2 weeks..

ok looks like im going to have a stage 1 rebuild installed at CK.... what stall should I go with.... remember this is a daily driver.... but she does like to play often.... mostly highway driving
