I acquired this turbo, but I have no idea what kind it is or what it came off of.
I was told it was a 301 pontiac turbo, but now have learned that the egr placement on the plenum says that it is a 231. I have searched your site and the internet for pictures to identify with, but no luck. I think really because I don't know what to look for. I've typed in 231 and 301 but it basically brings up everthing else.
I have it across town at my Dad's place, so I can't really inspect it or measure now. It didn't look like any of the ones in Turbo 101. I was just seeing if you guys could tell by looking at it.
It has AIResearch on the exhaust side.
