O-ring block

I wanted to know if I could put stock heads with no O-ring grooves on a block with O-rings and not use a copper head gasket. can I use felpro 1007 head gasket? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Save yourslef some money. If not machined PERFECTLY, you will have problems. I blew a 1007 wire right out of the groove because the groove was machined .008 insted of .012 like it was supposed to. This was some confusion a few years ago caused by felpro supplying incorrect instructions. Get it decked smooth for metal head gasket, as well as the head, put ARP studs in there and a cometic gasket and it will hold up exellent. HTH
