I am not new to the Website but I am new to posting so please bare with me. I have a very stock 1986 Grand National with 80,000 miles. It has a K&N filter with adjustable fuel and adjustable wastegate. I do not race it but do enjoy putting my foot in it on occassion. Ever since I have owned it (for over 15 years) it has had very eradic 02 readings. At idle it just constantly jumps all over the place from rich to lean and back to rich. I guess I am wondering if this is normal. From my readings it looks like everyone has stable numbers but I just don't know. Thanks.

That is normal for closed loop idle. If you have a chip that uses open loop idle like a TT chip then the O2's will be steady.

Thanks, So when I first crank it up they stay pretty steady but after it reaches temperature they start to jump. Also, while I have you, the car has never idled great almost like a dead miss, runs awesome but not idle, is this normal after very mild mods.
