Last night I took her out for a WOT blast to verify scanmaster #s and everything checks out:
O2 .777 but almost 4 Deg. KR
AF was 253
TPS 4.6x

I'm thinkin it is false knock, because I believe the manifold is cracked again.Could this be the problem?

If that's pump gas, .777 would be way lean for me. I'd shoot for 820s. Don't forget you can't make power without fuel!

Some cars are different try going up a few pounds of fuel pressure and see what happens if not your going to need higher octane. Just my o2

I have a TE 44, 36lb,thrasher 92 w/ 93 gas,fuel pres. set at 45,and around 17-18 lbs boost ,w neck modded IC.

What do you all think I could run w/ this combo in the 1/8 and 1/4 with some race gas and slicks?

I also still have the stock downpipe.

Too muchy boost for pump gas, try like 12-14lbs of boost. Or add a can of octance boost

Thats funny cause i got 770 on my 02s when i did a WOT blast a couple of weeks ago at about 17# of boost. But i also had 0 spark retard on the scanmaster, so i kept my tuning right there since. And all i get out here is 91 octane. I usually pump it with gas from the 76 station. But my car may also be flowing good air due to the upgrades in my sig, which i can get away with 17# and no spark retard on 91 octane:eek:

17 is fine on 93 octane if it is tuned right, and your 02s are fine, if just a TAD low, but probably ok. I run 20 lbs on pump gas and have 780-800 02s woith no or 1 degree of knock. I can get false knock of 4-6 easily by stabbing the gas and having it downshift hard. That could be what you have.

How do you know its false? The engine is under a lot of load when you jump on it

To say 17# is easy if tuned right is not true for everyone. It depends on how much timing is in your chip. With my RA 93 chip 16# was the max. Some guys can only get 15.

well, I'm guessing it's false because it pops up right as the kard kick down occurs. It is very quickly there and gone when it happens, so it's not like I'm getting knock constantly when I'm staying in it at WOT.
I agree that the max lbs are different for different situations. I use Jay Carters 93 chip. I honestly don't know the timing.
