Sounds like its telling the truth , bad lean for some reason , what is the BL`s on the SM ?

blms are right there at 124 int 128 at idle warmed after driving pulling in driveway putting it in park its within 10 +and -.. i do smell like raw fuel but i checked theres no leaks fuel lines rail regulater it smells like its coming from the charcoal canister ,also questioning my 4''mega maf i heard something about using the gen2 you have to have the 1.2 version or somthing.

both after its warm i cant get on it to much cause the o2s are at those low numbers it gives me pops like intake pops but when its cold and the o2s are at 700-800 it runs good. maybe lazy pump.

I think you might have hit on something there. I'm no GenII expert but I think the GenII does need to be running the latest firmware version to properly control the mega maf.

I got so tired of trying to figure out maf's, I just switched over to speed density several years ago, first by running the Translator Pro, and lately switching to the SD2.

Obviously when a MAF based system runs correctly it's very NICE, but...... Hell, NOT even my 2012 twin turbo Lincoln runs MAF based. Many new car manufacturers are switching over to a speed density(MAP) based system.

"it smells like its coming from the charcoal canister". If the canister is getting gas in it, you may have a tank vent issue.
[That's where the tank is vented thru.] Once the car runs for a while, there's a vacuum in the tank. That will cause low fuel psi, cavitation, overheated pump.
Fuel psi cold, vs when the problem starts, is?

Good catch! I missed that.

ok so where do i start with trouble shooting the canister how can i tell if the switch is working and the hose routing is correct or could it just be clogged .so what is needed besides the sd2 chip and not needed as to what i have already with my setup .i have been reading the thread and want to get it running right with what i have right now before i make the move thanks for all your help.

Once hot, and it 's acting up, take the gas cap off, and observe any changes.......

ok guy's i'am back jusy got my new gas tank. got another pump used from this site just to rule out the pump still having the problem the only thing that i did not change was the regulator and the line to it it has the stock one with the rubber then plastic line then rubber going to the regulator ,and the regulator is the stock adjustable one with the billet top could that be the problem .HEELLLP. oh yea and the raw fuel smell is gone by the canister at least that is ruled out .
