My uncle is having probs with his 96 Jeep grand cherokee. Has been recomended we change the crank sensor. We have the sensor. Would like to see if there are any error codes. Dont know anythink about code readers for newer cars. Any recomendations? He has a few other newer cars and would like one with many different cars.... is there a universal one?

Search in the Scantool section. I posted a couple sites a while back that have cables you could buy that did odb scanning and logging with a laptop.
search for my user name and Obd2 and you should find the post.
