About 5 Buicks and one TTA there, including me and Ken.
Boost issues for both of us in that altitude on the first pass or two and Ken kept blowing hoses off the EGR and vacuum cannister until we really zip tied them back on.
He had good slicks so that made up for his lack of boost for sure.
He was able to launch with 10-15 psi., I only could do 5-7 on the Hoosier QTP's.
Got my 11.90 however.
He ran low 12's I think 12.3 with less boost and less mph for some reason, possibly his converter.
One Buick was almost stock and in the mid 13's didn't really see the others run and the Stage 2 TTA only made one or two passes and I missed those. Then it left early on the trailer.
Two Corvettes lost rears/axles and one oiled the track down for an hour just after it opened which cost us the best air and it got hot right after 12:30 or so, had to be 82 out and sunny which made the track even worse in the afternoon. One Ford broke also but that was on the line and not much track oiling, small puddle.
Really sucked but I kept trying anyway up until 2:30, made about 9 passes. About an hour and a half in track downtime also for cleanups, total.
I did make it up to 27 psi. however and popped off the line so I ran better times at 25 psi. actually when launching with less boost.
A good day we got to drive home at least.
Ken and I opened the event with a good race.
