Like the subject says, Al. How did you and Ken run?? Any other Buicks? Details details details!!!!

About 5 Buicks and one TTA there, including me and Ken.

Boost issues for both of us in that altitude on the first pass or two and Ken kept blowing hoses off the EGR and vacuum cannister until we really zip tied them back on. ;)

He had good slicks so that made up for his lack of boost for sure.

He was able to launch with 10-15 psi., I only could do 5-7 on the Hoosier QTP's.

Got my 11.90 however.

He ran low 12's I think 12.3 with less boost and less mph for some reason, possibly his converter.

One Buick was almost stock and in the mid 13's didn't really see the others run and the Stage 2 TTA only made one or two passes and I missed those. Then it left early on the trailer.

Two Corvettes lost rears/axles and one oiled the track down for an hour just after it opened which cost us the best air and it got hot right after 12:30 or so, had to be 82 out and sunny which made the track even worse in the afternoon. One Ford broke also but that was on the line and not much track oiling, small puddle.

Really sucked but I kept trying anyway up until 2:30, made about 9 passes. About an hour and a half in track downtime also for cleanups, total.

I did make it up to 27 psi. however and popped off the line so I ran better times at 25 psi. actually when launching with less boost.

A good day we got to drive home at least. :)

Ken and I opened the event with a good race.

Sounds like he needs new check valves. What kind of MPH were you guys running?

I peaked at 114 and I think he ran 108 or so.

Mostly 106-107 for him and 112-113 for me.

No wind to speak of like the GM event which had a 15 mph headwind.

Best pass was at 112 mph and a good 60 ft. for me. :) 1.68

Forgot to lock the converter the first 2 passes.

I popped off the line when launching with 10 psi. boost musta triggered the alky. a bit early. :D

Didn't matter the tires didn't hold anyway for the first 10 feet until it popped.

Gonna try launching with two feet one on the brake one on the gas next time I race. Hopefully that will work. :)

I have a few GN races on tape.

My Vette ran 11.3-11.6 all day with 1 wimpy 11.98 at the end of the day.

Was that the blue one?

Didn't see any Vette's actually make it down the track excepting the older 85/86 Red one. ;)

Watched a lot of Fords and LS1/LT1 Camaros race but only spent an hour and a half or so in the stands total.

If any of those GN's have CT plates it's probably us. Weren't all that many there unfortunately. :(

Glad someone ran well in the heat.

That was me.I only did 6 runs since the weather sucked and there seemed to be a rearend blowing contest going on;) .
Heading up to Vette/Viper shootout this Saturday hoping to hit the 10's:)
