I am finally getting to the point in which I am easing my car off 110 race gas, and going to a Sonoco 94 and Alcohol set up...I have had the SMC kit for quite sometime, and I have always kept it set very low, or off.

Today I noticed if I moved the pump speed to anything over "4" the car would "chug" (This is with a turn-on point of 15psi) If I move the Speed above that I get alot of (knock) retard.

With the SMC kit off at around 15-17psi of boost 02's are between 800-820, and Knock non exhistant.

Any Tips?

Thank You for any insight you may have.

820s a little lean isn't it?

try lowering the pump turnon psi to abotu 12 or 13, and see how it acts, you might even need more fuel on the top end, since it bogs if you turn the alky up..

I'm certainly not an expert on the system but that seems like a logical step to try, certainly cant hurt anything ;p

Sounds like you need to try a smaller jet if you have one. While hotairs usually run richer to cool the combustion chamber, you should need to on alky since the alcohol does the cooling not gasoline. I would try a hair less FP and a smaller jet. You want to have the biggest jet possible while still having the pump set at 8 or higher for better atomization

Herb!! :) I think you need the smaller jets, and a lower turn-on point as suggested above. Pure de-natured might help. Call me @ (609) 680-1268. I have a company phone now, so it doesn't cost me anything for you to call.

Anytime Sat., or Sun. morn is ok...Tim

Good advice with smaller jets, i hadent thought of that, and with the lower turn on point that shoudl help his problem.

Let us know.

btw, what do you use to put the alky in the system? i hear theres a port in back from the water injection that was supposed to be installed, or do you use a modified turbo adapter?

..and yes, i am that dumb, i havent bothered to look... id love to alky this car, but my turbo is hackjobed and if it requires a modified stock adapter, that wouldnt work :P
