Odd issue solved

I started this thread in 8/1/07. Basically I was having issues sucking oil thru the PCV and the engine was using a lot of oil. Plugged the PCV and engine oil consumption was still there. After 18 months I found the turbo was using the oil. Since I replaced the turbo no oil usage and the PCV hardly sucks oil. Maybe boost was leaking past the seal and pressurizing the engine?!? Can anyone explain this?

you mean oil pressure was blowing by the turbine seal and making the engine smoke.

happens quite often.

just failed seals.

Yes making the engine smoke and suck oil via PCV.

Oil can blow by both sides and make it seem like the PCV is doing it sometimes.
