What did it run?? Both ET and MPH??

TIA,

K.

13.87 don't remember mph... It was cold out and last day of the season.

Sleds! ;)

It's pretty amazing that you guys ran those numbers stock and I see GNs everyweek at the track with exhaust, turbos, injectors etc running 15s! :o

14.01 @ 96.23..........With a peg leg!! Very low option 87 'T'. 3473lbs with me in it. Could have run better with a posi i'm sure!! ;)

I'll just take this comment for what it is. You make it sound like GN's can't run these numbers stock. Most knowlegable people know they can. And just for your info, ALL GN's have an exhaust, injectors, and a turbo!!! ;) :D

Most of the cars ran 14.40 - 14.70. The fastest one I know of was a T-Type that went 13.77

I think alot of the stock ones today you see running 15's have some issues like maybe valve springs being tired, or not up to snuff 02 sensors, mis gapped plugs, etc. After all, with the cars being as old as they are, there is bound to be detorization of some of the parts.

No, I see non-stock cars running 15s. Cars with Aftermarket Turbos, Injectors, DPs, exhaust bla bla bla...

Then your seeing a car or driver with major issues. I think thats why the thread starter was asking about showroom stock cars.

Yeah, there is actually a few reasons I wanted to know. But going with what Mike said I had a local guy drop off his GNX #084 to me yesterday. The reason I have it is because the owner states the car doesn't make any power. I found a few timeslips in the center console that ranged from 14.70 to 15.32 @ 92+ mph!!

So, you see why I was wondering. I personally have never run a showroom stock car, and have only read what the magazines got out of them. I figured some of you guys may have run yours when they were stockers.

Thanks for the replies!!:)

Any dyno #'s??

I don't suppose any of you have dyno #'s on you stockers??

TIA,

K.

A GNX even with a bad driver should be able to rip off 13.9. Are his 60ft's in the 2.5 range on those slips. I think a good average time for a GN would be in the 14.2 to 14.3 with a 2.0 60ft and a GNX (same conditions same 60ft) should be in the 13.8 range. Anything other than that and there is something wrong with the car or driver during those runs.

Oh yea...AVERAGE mph for a factory GN should be in the 96-97 mph area and 101 to 103 for a GNX.

I stock GNX should be in the 13.4 range about 104mph.

Your right, thats where it should be, but I was using an "average" time since alot of people do not know how to race, let alone race these cars. I think that time was a magazines best time, or maybe ASC's average time with an experienced driver. I'm just guessing though.:)

I am not saying thats not the case, the fact remains that I see this all the time. The GNs that run 95mph here are the quick ones!

Scantool? What's that?

"Yeah I'm running the best Mobil gas you can buy"

:D :D

Driver, Issues.. Yea its obvious they have all that otherwise they wouldn't be in the 14s and 15s with TE44s and Front Mounts!

270 HP on the Dynojet.

Stock excepting an ATR ram air thingy.

Don't think that helped much on the dyno. ;)

Low mileage car but dyno'd in 2000.

Last year complete BONE stock my 86 GN did a best of 14.40 with peg leg.

This year with MINOR MODS = test pipe, kone filter, 340 wally pump & turbo tweak 171lbs chip PEG LEG AGAIN 13.81
