Thanks to all the people who put this race together and give us an outstanding facility to enjoy our hobby. Thanks to Bill and Roberta for all their time and efforts as well as all the sponsors.

Six cars showed up and raced TSM and after qualifying on Friday and Sunday they stacked up like this.

Official Qualifying Order

1. Jason White 9.137 @ 148.64
2. Tim Lemay 9.662 @ 141.25
3. Tom Robinson 9.695 @ 140.90
4. Bobby "Buick" Slusser 10.081 @ 133.55
5. David Leonhart 12.104 @ 112.08
6. Steve Pitts 12.931 @ 86.12

Round One

Round one paired up in the following order:

(5) David Leonhart vs (2) Tim Lemay - Tim qualified with a strong 9.66 and had convertor issues which did not allow him to build boost at the line. Tim and David line up for round one and David gets the jump with a .177 R/T to Tim's .568 R/T. David stays consistant in his stock engine GN and runs a 12.155 @ 113.98 to Tim's 12.831. Tim had a top end charge of 137.60 mph but just wasn't enough to catch David at the end.

(4)Bob Slusser vs (3)Tom Robinson - Tom goes into the first round with a quicker et in qualifying but didn't get up on boost to get the R/T that he needed to leave with Bob. Bob cut a .160 R/T to Tom's .433 R/T giving Bob the lead all the way down the track even though Tom was 10 mph faster. Bob goes into round Two with the win with a 10.581 @ 127.85 to Tom's 10.979 @ 137.50.

(1) Jason White vs (6) Steve Pitts - Steve left the NC TSM race with some cash in his pocket and a runner up spot. After qualifying with a slowing 12.93 he found out that he had a head gasket blow which kept him from making the call for the first round. Jason makes a test pass and breaks the beams with a 9.864 @ 108.64 to go into the 2nd round.

Round Two

(4)Bob Slusser vs (5)David Leonhart - Both Bob and Dave beat quicker cars in the first round to move into the 2nd round. They line up and wait for the lights to come down. Bob cuts a .205 R/T to Dave's .260 R/T giving him advantage immediately which he keeps adding to as he makes his way down the track to the tune of 10.449 @ 132.31 to David's 20.651 @ 46.48.

(1) Jason White - Bye run 12.098 @ 120.93

Final Round

(1)Jason White vs (4)Bob Slusser - After being away from Buick racing for a while Bobby is in hog heaven making it to the final round with his excellent running Buick. After the second round Bob had something cut one of his slicks and came over to me to concede the race because he didn't feel safe running like that. I immediately offered a set of new slicks already mounted on wheels for him to use but we couldn't come up with any lug nuts to use. In asking around for lugnuts he found another set of tires and wheels that allowed him to race.

Final round: Both racers line up with Bobby going into the prestage beams first ready to race. Jason slips into the prestage beam building rpm and boost as both cars fall into the stage lights ready to rip. Bob gets a jump and cuts a .157 R/T to Jason's .201 R/T. The cars both make a great pass side by side to mid track until Jason's mph started to pull away on the second half of the track. Jason runs 9.244 @ 149.07 to Bob's 10.29 @ 134.56

Thanks to all the racers that supported TSM at Norwalk. I hope to see more at the next race at Columbus, OH.
