Oil blowing out of dipstick tube?

What causes this and how can you stop it? Would it help to put a k&n breather on the drivers side instead of the oil filler cap? Thanks, R.B.

Yes, more breathers may be helpful. Put one each on both valve covers. You can get a passenger side matching valve cover from 85 front drive Buicks with 3.8 engines. Another thing you could do is install an electric vacuum pump and pull vacuum on the crankcase especially when in boost. You can get one in a boneyard from 85-86 front drive caddies.

Check your P.C.V. (postive,crankcase, Ventilation) it could be clogged or stuck. I'd check that first

I had the same problem under high boost.Installed a check valve and it seemed to help!

I had the same problem. I put in the ATR check valve,
a new PCV valve, and 2 valve cover breathers.
The problem went away and so did alll my oil leaks!
I am a happy camper now!
