I know people like to have a turbo saver to prevent contamination getting in turbo but would a good qaulity filter work just as good? I use the k&n filter from Autozone seems to work great but exspensive. Has anyone used this filter with same result or bad results?

i use the turbo saver Red Regal T sells its a very nice product and works very well

The TurboSaver gives the turbo only filtered oil from a new turbo feed line originating form the filter. Right now, your turbo is fed for the oil pump which means if you lose a head gasket or something else, your turbo will recieve that contaminated oil since it's not pre-filtered. I had to get my turbo rebuilt due to a headgasket. Now I have a TurboSaver.

I used a billet Magnefine tranny filter that has -6AN fittings which are decent size and easy to hook up to the stock feed line with simple adapter fittings. :)

Probably cost more than RRT's setup. :p

I think a good quality filter will work as good as the turbo saver system.

Oil filters have bypasses that can allow contaminated oil to reach the turbo. My system uses non-bypass oil filter. Turbo aside, for your overall hi-performance engine clean oil requirements.........two filters are better than one. ;)

Hate to ask dumb questions. But here goes.

How can I , or would someone be kind enough to give

me an adress of someone who sells these filters.

I would greatly appreciate it......TIA...Rob

If you have a biggie filter adapter, it allows for use of larger oil filters with 13/16" threads such as a Purolator L30005. These filters have no bypass.
