Another solution to high startup oil pressure would be to run a thinner (cold) oil. A 5w-30 will develop less cold pressure than a 10w-30 while giving an identical hot pressure. james

yikes!!! gopurepower, talk about expensive! But if reuseable, would pay off in the long run for sure, only problem I see is no antidrain back valve.
Don't mean to hijack this thread btw. its all about the learning though!

It also depends on where you measure the oil pressure at. I measure mine before the bypass an see 100psi cold all the time.

How does the baldwin B9 or B253 compare?

B253 cross-refs to the Fram HP1.
