Hey,

Is there another sender/switch for the stock dash idiot light that activates at 20 or even 10 pounds pressure. I don't like the idea that the stock one comes on at 4 pounds! By that time the engine is hurt!
(Yes, I know that is why they are called idiot lights  )

Probably not since many of our cars normally operate within that pressure range once the oil warms up. We would all be idiots everywhere we went:biggrin:

Think that's why most end up going to the oil pres. gauge. Idiot lights are just cheap.

I have a gage on the dash in front of the passenger. Just looking for something that can flag me that something is wrong if I am not looking at the gage. I was looking at the Reb-co warning lights and thinking about those.

Summit used to sell a panel that had an oil and water temp in it that had warning lights that came on. Autometer I believe also makes a warning light that looks like a shift light on a tach that mounts on the steering column.

Yup. This is kind of what I am thinking about.

When I did my VDO gauges, I got their sender that had a dual output. One was 0 - 180 ohm, the other was a 8 psi warning contact for the dash light. No need for a cobbed up mess of 2 senders... ;)

I'd try the NAPA 15psi. Hobbs switch for about $35 and it's adjustable under the rubber plug.

You could make your own LED or bulb light and put it anywhere you wanted to easily.

And hopefully tune it downward to 9-10psi. or so.

Then again that 20psi. Reb-co switch may be adjustable....
