Oil leak question

Ok so i been dealing with an oil leak for quite some time, probably since i got the car. now valve covers, rear main seals, turbo drain pipe are all good and not leaking. So it started it leaking real bad again to where its smoking from leaking on the cross over pipe. I took it to the mechanic and the said that its coming from the seal where the tranny and engine meet, and a lil from the oil pan. so they said they need to pull the tranny to fix be about 300 parts n labor. Do that sound like a possible spot to leak?

there is not a seal were the engine and tranny meet. it would either be the rear main seal/oil pan again . Or the tranny may be leaking transmission fluid from the shaft, check under the torque converter inspection cover. Also it is possible the rear portion of the intake manifold seal blew out and oil is running down the bellhousing/back of engine.

thats what i thought but he was right. it was the main engine seal where the bad leak was coming from
