WHATS UP GUYS...TODAY I PRIME THE ENGINE WITH THE DRILL TO MAKE SURE OF PRESSURE BEFORE I BUTTON IT UP AND LAY IT BACK IN ITS HOME:D ...SO I USED POSTONS REPLACEMENT COVER THEIR BOOSTER PLATE AND STOCK PUMP LIKE THEY RECOMMEMDED...SO THIS IS WHAT I GET AN INSTANT 100 POUNDS...D@$M....THATS KIND OF HIGH..OIL CAME UP TOO ALL THE ROCKERS AND EVERYTHING LOOKED GOOD BUT SHOULD I CHANGE THE SPRING I USED THE LONG PLAIN SPRING THAT CAME WITH THE KIT...SO WHAT IM SAYING IS SHOULD I TRY ALL THE SPRINGS TOO BRING DOWN THE PRESSURE TO SOMETHING A LITTLE MORE NORMAL.....:rolleyes:THE KIT HAS FOUR SPRINGS TOO CHOOSE FROM.

Definately change the spring or make sure the relief valve isn't stuck. There were two different bottom covers made and if the wrong spring is put in the wrong cover the pressure will be way too high. My dad did this with his brand new motor and we had to shut the motor down immediately because it pegged the guage at 120psi. Swapped out springs and it was fine.

I forgot, I don't know about your particular booster plate but on the Kenne Bell unit you have to do some machining on the bottom cover for the oil relief passage or you won't have enough bypass.
