Hi, I'm working on #420. At a whopping 4155 miles the oil pressure gauge has stopped working. The gauge is reading way below 0 psi. I am suspecting the sending unit. Does the GNX have a specific sending unit and if so where can I purchase one? Thanks, it's my dad's car, he bought it new in early '88, never drives it!

Im assuming youre talking about a GNX (#420)? If so, the original numbers are as follows - GM # 12332799 or Stewart Warner SWW-353B-F I read in a thread in the GNX section that Brian @ GBody has them. Not listed on the site, you must call. Hope this helps.

Thanks alot for the part numbers. I have tracked a sender down and will have a working oil pressure gauge within days!

Thanks for sending Dave to us. We have a limited supply & source for some of these Parts.

You didnt take any photos of the sensor and fittings while you were working on it? Or did it have any special connections that you can remember.

Thanks

It was just a single wire oil pressure switch but it has a larger range for the 80 psi gauge. I can take a picture and send it to you tomorrow if you want to see it. The car is setting next door to my shop in it's own showroom.

So you own 418? I'm sure it was setting on the assembly right next to this one! True sister cars.

Yes I own 418! Any pictures would be a big help. I am more interested in the oil fittings and connecters though.

Please send to 87gnx418@gmail.com.

Thanks
