Is the oil pressure software still present / active in any of the chips used in our cars?
 
ecm doesnt see oil pressure or any pressure for that matter
.. stock there wasn't even an oil sender just a pressure switch that would turn on the idiot lamp below 4psi

as far as what the ecu does see for engine operation is ...coolant temp, air inlet temp , maf flow, cam signal ,crank signal , tps position, mph , park, 3rd and 4th gear on the trans

Basically asked a stupid question. Just going back & forth between old architecture (80's) and current stuff.
 
there is a power steering pressure input that still exists on the stock ECM, and potentially could be used in a chip to do something. But what would you want to do?
