I just installed an mech oil presure gauge at the rear of the engine ,there is oil passage near the back of the intake manifold .
Most of the oil presure gauges are hooked up near the frt cover and closer to the oil pump .Has anyone taken readings at the frt and the rear and compared ?What was the difference in oil presure ?

oil pressure

Yes, I have done that. Assuming you have decent bearing clearance, the readings will be the same. This was discussed a year or so back. I posted this same answer, had some people strongly disagree with the reasoning I gave. I even switched gages, to be sure. Unless there is an unwanted restriction in the system somewhere, oil pressure will be the same all through your eng. UP TO all bearings.

This is a Stage block, right? You can do this on a production block also, but you must use the port on the pass. side rear oil galley.
