I hope there is a way...
My late father was big into racing and ended up holding 5 track records at beeline raceway (here in AZ) when he was younger. My uncle wants to find the car he used to race - it was either a 55 or 57 chevy - and restore it to it's former glory
He is pretty sure he can get an old copy of the registration, which should have the VIN on it. I figure I could carfax it and see what state it was last registered in and contact the DMV....
Is there an easier way?
I would bet that it ended up in a junk yard somewhere, due to the extensive mods that were done to it for drag racing. If we can't locate it , we would like to get one that hasn't been too molested or restored yet and use it. Does anyone know of a good candidate?
Thank you everyone in advance,
Victor
