Found this old Maaco ad from way back when. I remember seeing this commercial when I was a teenager. Makes me want to take my GN to Maaco lol.

that would have been right about the time that paint was starting to fall off mid 80's GM cars and trucks and you could get any GM dealer to repaint it for free so $149 was a rip off..

This hits too close to home. My car has a Maaco paint job. Found the receipt in the glove box along with all the other receipts. Not sure of the year, since the invoice isn't dated, but it wasn't $149 ! More like $849
