One more question to ask. I have used Turbotweaks chips in the past and was totally amazed at how much of a difference it has made in a car without any other changes. Since I will be pulling the trigger and purchasing a lt-1 maf, genII, injectors and a chip. How does fullthrottlespeed's chips compare to Eric's. Last question to bother you guys then I am pulling the trigger. TIA

Keep the car simple and it will keep you happy.

Get the translator and LT1 MAF. See how it does and from there make changes as needed. Meaning your adding a lot of parts all at once, this typically is a recipe for issues. The chips from FTS are great, nothing wrong with them. Most get into trouble when they have a lot of controls to tweak, and menu's to deal with.

You have a 12 second car. This type of car does not need anything fancy. Even an 11 second car.. 10's we can start to argue.

I run them both and they are both great chips.

I am running an Extender Extreme with a T+ older version Translator works fine with 55lb. injectors.

On the other car I have a GEN II translator and still use Eric's TT chip with it.

Someday I'm going to upgrade to the extender version since it reads past 255 on the MAF reading but so far no issues with it and my TT alky. chip.

Read the manuals thoroughly and ask questions before you start changing a lot of parameters. There's lots to tune with the Translator systems and it's all good stuff.

I have both chips for 60's with Gen 2 & its just a matter of they set up a little different but end results are similar. I'm just used to TT & its hard to train an old dog new tricks! ;)
