I will be unavailable for a day or two. This morning we had to put "Brandy" down, one of Cindy's horses, she has had since Cindy was 11 years old. Brandy was over 34 years old. This horse was her best friend and compadre`. She is devastated and of course I had the lucky job of digging a BIG hole in the pasture, 15'X15'X10' to bury. Today just sucked in general.
We will be mourning the loss of a true family member we have had for over 30 years. Lived a great life but Brandy's passing was unexpected. It turns out she collicked for some reason and thrashed through the night. At feeding this morning, Cindy realized something up right away and the Large Animal Vet came out but her intestines were severed and no saving her. It has been a sad day on the Toelle farm for sure. Even I was crying as I buried her and I am no huge horse fan, but Brandy has been with us so long she was like one of the family. The only horse I ever rode.
Anyway, you can understand why I will be MIA for a day or so.
Cindy is severely upset.
Anyone wishing to email her a condolence may do so to cmtgsd@aol.com
Horse people will definitely understand and relate.
Another curve ball.............
