opinions on 4l80e

Good or bad anyone got some opinions on this trans.
How strong can it be built?
How reliable is it?

I'm sick of busted 700r4 based trans , and refuse to loose OD

Car is a pig as it is 100 or so pounds ain't much when your dealing with 4,100 pounds of sheet metal. I got jets for the 300 shot if need be
