With my combo listed below I have waiting to be installed a BIG MOUTH cold air kit and a 160 degree thermo along with billit neck. Once I figure out why my MAF only goes to 180 at WOT and after new valve springs I want to do some mods. I am planning on porting my stock elbow. Adding a larger intercooler neck and adding alchy. I am on a limited college budget and I want the best bang for my buck. I was skeptacle about it at first but I have read once its tuned right its GREAT on the street. Will this help me perform better on the street and are these mods worth it? Thanks!

I think you have three options off the top of my head:

1. Air induction
2. Downpipe (I would get rid of the stock elbow and get a 3” or 3.5” Terry Huston DP)
3. Front Mount Intercooler (Good time to get Precision Turbo & Engine FMI, on sale for $795 + S&H)

Or if you have the money get all three, hahahaha

Cakes, translator plus & extender chip, definetly get alky these guys are running 23 lbs boost
on 93 octane!! These are going to be my next 2 mods, and with the trans+ you don't have to worry about your old maf.

Cakes, I have not done the alky yet, so I can't offer anything there. Just know you would have to be prepared for a lot of tuning :) . They have the propane inj now that you could wait on also, it is just being sold now. So I guess in the long run, alky or propane would be the best and cheapest on the street.

AT the track, with the 49 and redstripes, you can get a low 12, high 11 with race fuel, race chip and 20 to 24 lb of boost and a good 60' into the low 1.7s or even 1.6Xs. You have the scanmaster to tune with. Just increase boost slowly at the track.

The big neck and exhaust housing porting would be good mods at this time, but you have everything you need to run good times maybe with the exception of slicks. I would wait on the THDP due to the cost until you are in the 11s. Tim
