Setting up an aftermkt tank. What's the general consensus on in tank pump pickup distance, from the bottom of the tank? Using the turbo Supra Bosch pump.
3/8"?, 1/2"?

Did you see the post on LS1Tech (hybrids & conversions) concerning some new type of Walbro pickup? Supposedly, they will close off if the pickup becomes uncovered and sucks air. The poster was running 4 of these, one in each corner. IIRC, they were $28 each...

Russ, I did see that thread. I considered it, but the baffle system in the tank goes all the way to the bottom. I'd have to cut the tank open, to be able to run the lines..
I'm going to set it at 1/2".
In the test I did, with running the engine til the fp dropped, I got < 1 gallon left in the tank. My calcs with the pickup at 1/2", should leave only a gallon or so. That allows me about 16 gallons out of the 18 gallon capacity, B4 I'm walking!
Also, at my age, I have acquired a 100 mile bladder, and not much more for the a$$..
