who makes the orange stripe converter?
is it a 2800 or a 3000?
is it any good?

IMO it's trash....My car had one in it from previous owner....saving money now for something else....its still a 12" converter.

It's a 3000 stall. I got one in a parts trade, but never put it in the car so I have no 1st hand experience. Of course the guy I got it from said it was a good converter for him.

I used one for a long time. Nothing special for sure, but it did the job and I never had any problems with it. Ran 11.80's @ 115 locking it up at 75mph (not recommended - but I did it)

I have one and as said before, nothing special. The advertized stall is 3000, but rarely gets there. Makes the car feel sluggish until about 4000 rpm. I've been in cars with 9 and 10" converters and are waaaay more responsive on the get up and go. I'm going to go with a Pats 9" 3400 I think.

I ran 12.1's all day long at 108 mph with that converter, couldn't get any more trap speed out of it.
