I would like be the first to let the VT and miami fans know that ITS ON!!!!!!!!! Everyone is comming for you to teach you pukes a lesson in commitment. November 29th- pittsburgh pa, miami regime will fall and the panthers will get the last laugh. VT: what the hell is a hookie anyway?

Dont know what a Hokie is either...

But you'll sure as hell know what a Hurricane is when we get done with you.!:D I'll be the first to admit that they did it for the money...even the school President admitted that. At least in the ACC everyone gets an equal share of the pot. And admit it...you dont think you all will get more TV time with the addition of us as well? Besides...last year the ACC's "basement" team made more than Miami did on top of the Big East...pretty pathetic I think.
Well...like I have told all my FSU buddys...So much for winning conference titles now huh? ;)

maybe i should have said what the hell is an ibis? they take away the damn bird's pipe and bandage! The state of college football is gonna be crazy after the 2004 season. ACC raped the Big East and now everyone is gonna pick apart conference usa. The univ of coral gables fans would be advised to stay home and not face the wrath of pittsburgh in november. This being the last match up i see all hell breaking loose.

And now they get to take that same exact pot of money (no new tv markets or championship game) and split it 11 ways instead of 9. So less money + harder competition = good deal? Sounds like a winner Miami. As a huge UCONN fan I can expect no revenge on these 2 teams during football season but at least I know we'll always own you in basketball.

The Ibis "Sebastian"
The most questioned aspect of Hurricane football is, "Why that darn bird!" Well, in 1926, the University of Miami adopted the Ibis as the official mascot for the University's athletic teams. Folklore maintains that the Ibis, a symbol of knowledge found in the Everglades and Egypt, is the last sign of wildlife to take shelter before a hurricane and the first to reappear after the storm. The Ibis is also considered the leader of its species. Through the years, the Ibis has become one of the most recognizable college mascots in the United States.

Also 6 national Championship since 1987? I guess Pitt's record of national Championships is better?

1915,1916,1918,1929,1931,1934,1936,1937 and 1976 hmmmmm that equals 9!!!! Go pay some more players to come to miami so they can snort coke and rape freshman girls.

Ok 9 championships in let's see.....88 years...compared to 6 in just what? 16 years? And also look at way back when...how many college football programs were around.....Not as many as now...

And pay the players to rape and snort coke? Your little one coming here?

I'm sure your choir boys up there do there fair share....

Hmmm....

Man..ya'll WERE a real powerhouse around the turn of the century huh? And wow...The Great Depression was a good time for you guys too huh? COME ON...it took you almost 40 years to get that 9th one! And what....27 years since? Man...you guys are on a roll. According to the numbers...you guys should win another title in what...around 2016 or so..or maybe longer! The current players for Miami will be collecting Social Security by the time Ya'll win another one! ;)

like i said Pitt likes to play by the RULES! its something yall should look into. Pitt is comming back to be a power house again. Back to back winning bowl game seasons. Pitt might have been the most underated team last year. lost by two to A&M, lost by 8 to ND, lost by 7 to miami and lost by 7 to WVU. All of them were bowl teams last year. They took the canes to the last play of the game. Pitt is about to land one of the biggest recruits in the country, a kid from my old High school, Andrew Johnson. He is down to OSU and Pitt. If pitt gets him the panthers are looking at a bright future and all with homegrown talent. Western PA is a top breading ground for great football players. the kids who used to go to Penn state are now chosing pitt.

Miami has never produced anyone comparable to these two names- Dan Marino and Tony Dorsett. both are even hometown guys.

ok.....

Michael Irvin...bad example BUT he has a few Rings to show for his efforts. Let's see...we have Ray Lewis, Warren Sapp, Jeremy Shockey..one of the best TE's in the NFL in only his 2nd year. Clinton Portis...power running back. I see a few NFL rings in the names I have mentioned.

Your Pitt boys wouldn't have been nearly as good without your Savior WR Fitzgerald. If ya'll plan on "going all the way"...you better do it this year because do you really think Fitzgerald WONT declare eligible for the draft next year?

None of this is really meant to disrespect Pitt...but dont go saying Miami cheats or doesnt play by the rules or whatever. We had some bad years in the mid 90's and had 30-something scholarships taken from us in 3 years. Miami has paid its dues. Now if you want to talk about F ree S hoes U niversity with all their shoplifting, gambling, forgery or whatever. They are far worse than Miami ever was. Oh yeah...cant forget the Alcoholic Kicker from abroad who loved to drive while drunk around Tallahassee!!

Yeah, and if memory serves me right Marino went to the Superbowl what? ONCE. Jim Kelley took the Bills there what? 4 times I beleive.........

jim kelly is probably the most overated QB of all time. look at the team he had. Dan mario made bad recievers look great. There's a reason he owns almost every important record in NFL history. Ditka was another pitt star. And did i forget to mention one the best O linemen ever- Bill Fralic. Of course the recent players they produced are gonne seem great cause the NFL is the most popular sport.

You forgot about #12, Rod Rutherford, don't underestimate him, that boy can do it all. He's a pittsburgh boy through and through. We have all pittsburgh boys backing him up too. Incase you missed the memo, southwestern PA is a QB factory.

3 players from each University are in the hall of fame.....Big deal. Marino will give Pitt 4....WOW...he's a pompus asz.....

I have an idea.....how much cash are you willing to bet when the Canes play your beloved Pitt?

i'm not a gambling man, i have too many cars to take care of to gamble my money on sports. BUT i'm sure we could work something out besides cash.

oh by the way .....cough cough curtis martin cough cough

Marino is actually a nice guy, i work for the pirates and he was here at the game last night. marino is also a grad of my H.S. and went to, got married at and lived across the street from the same church that i belong to. My grandfather was his head coach in colt league. I'm not BSing like everyother person in pittsburgh that claims to be a distant cousin. I'll put that on my fleet. I'm actually a John Elway/broncos fan.

Well think of something if you'd like to make a wager.....

Curtis Martin......ok Edgerrin James.......let's see who has a better year this year.

Dolphin Fan here....only since Marino left.
