What a bunch of BS this is. According to my merchant credit account provider I have to be PCI compliant. I NEVER see anyones' credit card number, exp date or security code as I have a 3rd party shopping cart that handles the CC transactions and Paypal. I have been doing the security scans of my site and bunch of minor issues come up but nothing more than a level one that is the lowest of the vulnerabilities.

Been working with my hosting provider and they had me transfer to a new server and did a new scan once I FTP'd all the files up to the new server. Same issues. Don't see what the big problem is when I don't see cc info and obviously can't store something I can't see! Big push on this for people that accept payments online.

Funny to actually see this post. I just went through the same crap with my merchant over seeing the full card number in a charge back situation...

I recently had a customer (3rd gen camaro guy) buy $450 worth of LED lights from us and 76 day's later my online merchant sends me a notice of a charge back!

Well long story short it was a Massive fraud set up and the CC used was stolen so i'm completely out my products and the $450....

Be warned of any purchaces from a Mark Smith, Darren Smith from Lake Orion, MI & Inkster, MI

This was a very cleaver fraud set up because the mailing address was to a
Mark Smith
3700 Giddings
Lake Orion, MI

And it was shipped to a
Darren Smith
4001 Wellington
Inkster, MI

Well I already had detectives go by both these address's and the Lake Orion address turnes out to be a Beer manufacturing co.

And the Inkster address is of a little old lady "Ms. Jones"

The person who signed for it was called "Dawson" so this was a pretty thought out set up because they made the names very close to one another so it looked like they were family.

Now I set up a special purchase pattern with my online merchant so that if there is any more sales with different shipping address from the billing it will automatically inform the buyer that further review is needed and then I can call and do some checking before sending out the product.

Man this week has been Hell, When it rains it pours!!
