Outlook express and MSN Messenger Question?

My computer now insists on always starting and running MSN messenger anytime I open my email account (Outlook Express). This started after the new version of MSN Messenger (6.1) was installed; on the old version, it didn't do that.

I hate seeing that stupid little icon in my tray and I don't like the fact I can't delete it when I've got my email up.

How can I stop this from happening?

I hate that too. I don't even use intant messengers.

In OE, go to tools/options/General and uncheck "Automatically log on to Windows Messenger."

There are other techniques for keeping it from starting up, maybe someone will chime in with it. That ought to do it though.

Hmmm... I've already dont that (uncheck the box). Any other ideas?
