Hi All
I have found a problem (maybe) while rebuilding my trans.
My ATSG manual says that the internal ring gear (#664) is pressed onto the outbut shaft(#665). Mine is not. The gear slides down to the next shoulder before it stops, PAST a groove that looks like it might take a snap ring???. I ask this because I thought the clearance between the snap ring(630) and the sel. thrust washer(631)was a bit much at final assembly. I will call Chris on monday.

many came like that .they changed over to the pressed on one for ease of assembly at the factory.

Hey Chris,
Thanks for the help, I'll make up a list of the rest of the parts I need at this time-new pump assembly, MORE teflon seals for center support (and hints on installing them).
I was also the one asking about 3-4 accumulator piston size--Got it. I'm not a Polack just for fun!

what in the hell is a polack?do you mean polock?just kidding.do you know how to say f#$k in polish?.......coorva.hahaha,the things we learn in the melting pot,i speak spanish too.greek and turkish,a little arabic and punjabi..

otto i am wanting to send you some chapters of the manual for proof reading?can you help out?we are on the last one ,thank god.
