Hey guys,

I just bought my first GN and we drove it home from houston to austin once we got home and got it in the grage it over heated. We said ok lets let it cool down and work on it tomorrow and the next day we came to look at it and it didn't start. we changed the spark plugs. What could it be ??!!

Hi there are many great mechanics on this web site willing to help but you need to give more info. What did the temp get up to. what happens when you try to turn it over. Antifreeze in oil?

Verify you have spark.
Verify fuel pump is priming/running. (Turn key on listen for pump)
Then verify if the injectors are firing. Need a "noid" light for this.

What makes you think it over heated? Does/did the fan come on? Fuel pressure with the key on engine off, does it fall off quickly when you turn the key off?
As above check for spark.
Let us know.

Aeah cookie monster. If it overheated temp, Maybe u might to replace the waterpump or maybe it could be the thermostat. Switch it to 160 and check the fan switching on/off when the engine is hot. If it doest start then check if there's fuel or the spark plugs/If not sure, take it to the mechanic....They might be able to help diagnose the problem propertly.
